This is the next in a series of articles providing an in-depth analysis of each position group on the Green Bay Packers for 2024. Today we will analyze the offensive line. The grades will be for each unit as a whole, but we will give an analysis of each player, their strengths and weaknesses and where they stand heading into the offseason. Here are the grades for the Packers offensive line in 2024. The marks are based on a combination of expectations and performance.

You can see our final grade for the quarterbacks here and for the defensive line here. The running backs are here, the linebackers here, tight ends here, and defensive ends here.

Over the course of the season, the Packers offensive line allowed 22 sacks and did a strong job pass blocking. The run blocking improved over a year ago as Josh Jacobs and all the Packers runners had room to run on most plays.

Final Grades for the 2024 Packers Offensive Line: The Starters

Rasheed Walker started at left tackle for the second straight season. He did well protecting the blind side of Jordan Love and had a solid season. Walker graded out average in run blocking but very good in pass protection according to Pro Football Focus. The former seventh-round pick has established himself as a quality starting NFL tackle.

Starting left guard Elgton Jenkins had another solid season. He struggled in the one game he was moved to center due to injuries, but he remains a very good left guard. The former Mississippi State star remains an excellent pass blocker and a good run blocker. He contributed a lot to Jacobs’ success running between the tackles.

Center Josh Myers remains a favorite of the coaching staff, but he has graded out as an average pass blocker and slightly below average at run blocking. He is consistent and smart but limited. He never lived up to his status as a second-round pick.

Myers’ contract is up, and he will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason unless the Packers re-sign him.

Sean Rhyan won the starting right guard job and became a solid starter at the position. Entering the season, Rhyan’s pass blocking was a question, but he solidified his play this season. He adds toughness and grit to the Packers offensive line. This was his first season as a starter and his third in the NFL. The Packers hope he can continue to develop in 2025.

Zach Tom graded out as the team’s best offensive lineman this season. The starting right tackle earned the highest run blocking grade of any starter and was very strong in pass protection as well. He struggled in one or two games but excelled for most of the season. Tom graded out as the team’s best offensive lineman this season and has Pro Bowl potential.

The Primary Backups

GM Brian Gutekunst signed Andre Dillard to provide veteran depth at tackle. The former first round pick didn’t see much action in the 10 games he appeared in. He played just 13 snaps on offense and 50 on special teams all season.

Dillard struggled in preseason and didn’t carve out much of a role during the regular season. He may not be back in Green Bay next season.

First round pick Jordan Morgan suffered through an injury-riddled rookie season. He managed to play only six games and started one. Most of the time, he alternated series with Rhyan when he was healthy. He played 46 percent of the offensive snaps in the six games he played. The Packers hope he can stay in the lineup and win a starting job. He can play either guard or tackle, but guard is considered his most likely position in the NFL.

Final Grades for the 2024 Packers Offensive Line: Depth Players

Kadeem Telfort graduated from the practice squad a year ago to the active roster. He played 16 games, but only 23 snaps on offense. Most of his action came on special teams. Telfort graded out better as a run blocker than in pass protection. He hopes to continue making progress next season.

Travis Glover played in seven games. The sixth-round pick out of Georgia State struggled when he was inserted into the lineup. During the regular season, he played just 13 offensive snaps. Glover has a long way to go to become a starting quality NFL player.

Jacob Monk played 10 games during the regular season but only saw action on special teams. The Duke alum can play multiple positions and be back to compete for a roster spot next season.

Final Grade for the Packers 2023 Offensive Line

The numbers for the offensive line were good. Love wasn’t sacked often, but he was pressured a bit more than we would like. The run blocking grades weren’t great, but Jacobs and the rest of the running backs had a healthy average per rush.

The offensive line stayed healthy for most of the season and the continuity helped the unit.

Next season, four starters are expected back with Myers scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. Gutekunst always adds players on day three of the draft along the offensive line.

The line did a solid job overall.

FINAL GRADE: B
