The Green Bay Packers offense proved efficient but not elite in 2025. The offensive line play fell off from the previous season in part due to injuries. The running game suffered as a result, yet the team finished 16th in points scored and 15th in the NFL in yards gained. But the team feels they can be better in the coming season. The Packers still have many questions to be answered as the team heads into training camp next month. Here are five key questions facing the Packers offense as we head into the 2026 season:

We know Josh Jacobs will be the number one back but who wins the second running back spot? Can MarShawn Lloyd stay healthy enough to realize his immense potential as a change of pace back? He could provide the team with speed and an outside running threat.
Behind him is Chris Brooks, who was the best running back in pass protection last season and gives the team adequate depth as a runner and receiver.
If Lloyd can’t stay healthy again, his career will be in jeopardy and the Packers lack of proven depth at running back could become an issue.
Number Four: Will Jordan Morgan Be Ready to Start at Left Tackle?
Rasheed Walker has departed and that means that 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan will be the starter when training camp begins next month.
The Packers cross trained Morgan at both tackle and guard and had him playing on both the left and right sides. Morgan believes he is best suited to play left tackle, and this is his big chance to prove himself.
The left tackle protects the quarterback’s blind side, and many consider it the most important position on the offensive line. The Packers lack depth along the offensive line and will be counting on Morgan to fulfill his potential and establish himself as a quality starting left tackle.
Five Key Questions the Green Bay Packers Offense Must Answer in 2026, Number Three: Will Matthew Golden Establish Himself as a Quality Starter?
The Packers selected Matthew Golden in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Texas alum became the first wide receiver to be taken in the first round by the Packers since 2002.
The Packers brought Golden along slowly in his rookie year. He showed flashes of ability but lacked consistency while catching 29 passes.
Now, with the departure of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, the Packers are counting on Golden to be one of their starters along with Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.
The depth behind the starters remains unproven and Golden will have to step up and be productive this season for the Packers offense to improve this season and become an elite unit.
Number Two: Will Josh Jacobs Be Available All Season?
Jacobs will be the Packers starting running back again this year if he’s healthy. However, his arrest last month after an alleged domestic violence issue leaves him and the Packers in a precarious position.
No charges are being filed against Jacobs at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. The NFL will conduct their own investigation, so even if no criminal charges are brought against the Packers running back, the league could still suspend Jacobs.
Without Jacobs, the running back room would be incredibly thin. Lloyd’s lack of size prevents him from getting 25 touches per game. Brooks is fine as a depth runner but has yet to prove he can be the lead back. None of the other running backs on the roster are proven NFL starters.
The Packers need Jacobs to stay healthy and not be suspended this season and then for him to return to his 2024 form.

Advanced analytics say Jordan Love has developed into an elite quarterback. For many fans, however, Love has yet to pass the eye test to reach that level.
Getting Love to the next level this season could help the Green Bay offense immensely. That includes leading the team to late, comeback wins.
Love has also missed games due to injury in each of the last two seasons so keeping him healthy and ready to play all 17 games would be a big benefit as well.
If Love takes his game to the next level, the offense will also improve. If he fails, the status quo is likely to be maintained.
