The Green Bay Packers have played nine of their 17 regular-season games in the 2024 NFL season. At this point, we take a look at how the 2024 draft class has fared thus far. GM Brian Gutekunst added 11 players in the draft this year. We are now grading the Green Bay Packers 2024 draft class halfway through their rookie season. Grades are only based on how the players fared with Green Bay.

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season: Round 7, CB Kalen King

Many scouts considered cornerback Kalen King a potential early round pick entering the 2023 season, but King disappointed, and fell all the way to the seventh round. The former Penn State star showed some promise in the preseason but was also inconsistent. He has spent the season on the Packers practice squad and has yet to be elevated for a game despite the Packers struggles at cornerback.

Grade: Incomplete

Round 7: QB Michael Pratt

The Packers released Michael Pratt after the preseason was over. He outplayed Sean Clifford but still struggled at times to run the offense. He is presently on the Tampa Bay practice squad and has yet to play in a regular season game.

Grade: F

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season: Round 6 OL Travis Glover

Travis Glover made the 53-man roster but has yet to take a snap in any regular-season games. Right now, he is on the roster to learn and provide depth along the offensive line. He will likely see action on special teams before he plays on offense this season.

Grade: Incomplete

Round 5: DB Kitan Oladapo

Kitan Oladapo started training camp on the non-football injury list. The former Oregon State star made the team and has played in three games this season. All 18 of his snaps have come on special teams.

With Xavier McKinney and the Packers other two rookie safeties playing well, Oladapo is unlikely to play a major role on defense this season barring injury.

Grade: C-

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season:  Round 5 OL Jacob Monk

Fifth-round pick Jacob Monk has played in eight of the team’s nine games this season but has seen action exclusively on special teams. The Packers like Monk’s ability to play multiple positions along the offensive line. He will continue to see action on special teams this season barring injuries to the players ahead of him on the depth chart.

Grade: C+

Round 4: S Evan Williams

Safety Evan Williams has been the biggest surprise of the Packers 2024 draft class. The Oregon alum played eight games and started three. He’s seen his role expand as the season progressed because of his strong play.

Williams plays the run well and has been strong in coverage, too. He grades out high across the board according to Pro Football Focus and is among the top five qualified safeties in the league in the first half of the season.

Williams 28 tackles, one interception and has broken up three passes. His strong play allowed the Packers to get their strongest lineup on the field on defense and created better opportunities for Jeff Hafley to blitz and create deceptive defenses.

Grade: A

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season: Round Three LB Ty’Ron Hopper

Third round pick Ty’Ron Hopper has played in all nine games for the Pack, but it’s all come on special teams. The Packers are bringing Hopper along slowly as he learns the defense.

The Packers have a need for better linebacker play. If he makes progress in the second half of the season, Hopper could finally see some playing time on defense before the season is over.

Grade: C

Round 3: RB MarShawn Lloyd

Injuries have slowed the progress of running back MarShawn Lloyd. The former USC star missed time in training camp due to an assortment of injuries and sat out the season opener while he recovered.

He made his NFL debut against the Colts and carried six times for 15 yards while catching one pass for three yards. He then landed on IR and has yet to return to the lineup.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said Lloyd was close to ready to return. Despite the solid play of Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks, Lloyd will likely carve out a role on offense behind Josh Jacobs because of his speed, cutback ability, and different running style.

Grade: Incomplete

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season: Round 2 S Javon Bullard

Javon Bullard has started seven games and played in all nine for the Packers this season. The Georgia star has played both slot corner and safety. He has performed much better in the slot this season. When he was asked to switch positions mid-game, he had his worst performance of the season.

Bullard made 51 tackles including one tackle for loss. He’s also broken up one pass. Opposing quarterbacks have completed 76.9 percent of their passes throwing to receivers covered by Bullard and have a quarterback rating of 115.2 according to pro-football-reference.com.

The rookie still has a lot to learn, but he’s played the run well and has a lot of potential.

Grade: B-

Round 2: LB Edgerrin Cooper

Edgerrin Cooper has only started one game, but he’s made quite an impact on defense. The former Texas A&M star has 2.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and has broken up two passes. He’s also made 44 total tackles all while playing just 42 percent of the Packers defensive snaps.

Cooper was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after the Packers win over Jacksonville.

Cooper does a great job of blitzing the quarterback and uses his speed well in pass coverage. He still needs to be better diagnosing and stopping the run.

Cooper’s role has increased in recent weeks and should continue to grow in the second half of the season. The struggles of Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffie and the strong play of Cooper should result in more playing time for the rookie.

Grade: A-

Grading the Packers 2024 Draft Class Halfway Through Their Rookie Season: Round One, G Jordan Morgan

First round pick Jordan Morgan has battled injuries as he adjusts to a new position, a new side of the line, and makes the adjustment from college football to the NFL.

Morgan started for the first time in Week 9 due to injuries. Before that, he rotated series with starter  Sean Rhyan at right guard. Overall, in six games, Morgan has played 46 percent of the Packers offensive snaps.

Morgan has graded out as a better pass blocker than run blocker so far. The Packers hope he can earn more playing time in the second half of his rookie season.

Grade: C+
