The Green Bay Packers are nearly at the halfway mark of their 2025 schedule. The team remains in first place in the NFC North with a 5-2-1 record. Today, we are grading the Packers 2025 draft class halfway through the season. Grades are based on a combination of expectations and performance. That means a seventh-round pick who has identical stats as a third-round pick will receive a higher grade. An average grade is a C-plus.
Grading the Packers 2025 Draft Class Halfway Through the Season: 7th Round, G John Williams
University of Cincinnati alum John Williams has spent the season on the PUP list. He has yet to return to practice and there is no timetable for his return at this time.
Grade: Incomplete
7th Round CB Micah Robinson
Micah Robinson was on the Packers active roster briefly but never played a game. When the team traded for Micah Parsons, Robinson was moved to the practice squad. The Tennessee Titans claimed him off the Packers practice squad. He has played one game for the Titans thus far this season and never appeared in a regular season game for the Packers.
Grade: Incomplete
Grading the Packers 2025 Draft Class Halfway Through the Season: 6th Round DT Warren Brinson
Warren Brinson has played two games for the Packers thus far. The Georgia alum made four total tackles and played 38 percent of the defensive snaps in those two contests.
Brinson has received good grades from Pro Football Focus both against the run and pressuring the quarterback in a limited sample size. We will see if he takes on a bigger role on defense in the second half of the season.

5th Round DE Collin Oliver
Collin Oliver has also spent the season on the PUP list. The fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma State has yet to resume practicing and his return is not imminent.

Grading the Packers 2025 Draft Class Halfway Through the Season: 4th Round DE Barryn Sorrell
Texas alum Barryn Sorrell has played in seven of the team’s first eight games this season. Sorrell has recorded a half sack and two quarterback hits. He’s only been in on two total tackles so far.
Sorrell remains far down the Packers depth chart at defensive end. He has played 17 percent of the team’s defensive snaps and also played 38 snaps on special teams. Sorrell’s PFF grades remain below average across the board.
Grade: C+
3rd Round WR Savion Williams
Wide receiver Savion Williams has a great combination of size and speed. The Packers are bringing him along slowly on offense. Head coach Matt LaFleur uses the TCU product on plays that scheme him open like jet sweeps and screen passes.
Thus far, Williams has caught seven passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. He has also run the ball eight times for 28 yards.
Williams has also become the team’s top kick returner. He’s run back 20 kickoffs and has a 25.2-yard average per return. That raises his grade.
Williams has demonstrated his athletic ability and talent, but he is still learning the NFL game. With Chrisitan Watson back and Jayden Reed hopefully returning later this season, Williams may not have as many opportunities on offense in the second half of the season. Carving out a bigger role on the offense will be the next step in his development.
Grade: C+
Grading the Packers 2025 Draft Class Halfway Through the Season: 2nd Round OT Anthony Belton
Antony Belton has been slowed by injuries during the first half of his rookie season. The former NC State star has played five of the team’s first eight games and started one.
Belton has good strength but is also still adjusting to life in the NFL. The injuries cost him time in training camp and practice and may have slowed his development a bit.
Thus far, Belton has struggled to block for the run while receiving average pass blocking grades from Pro Football Focus.
The injuries to the offensive line have forced the Packers to play Belton more than they probably preferred this early in his career.
Grade: C
1st Round WR Matthew Golden
The Packers hadn’t drafted a wide receiver in the first round for more than two decades before they added Matthew Golden in this year’s draft. The former Texas star has played all eight games for the Packers and started four of them as injuries shelved players like Dontayvion Wicks and Reed.
Golden has good hands and has shown flashes of the ability that made him a first-round pick. He’s made 23 catches on 29 targets for 262 yards which puts him on roughly a 48-catch pace. He’s also run the ball eight times for 45 yards. Golden has yet to drop a pass according to pro-football-reference.com.
No doubt Golden is still learning and growing within the Packers offense. The loss of Tucker Kraft may give Golden and the rest of the receivers more targets in the second half of the season. However, the receiver room is crowded, and Jordan Love likes to spread the ball around. The second half of Golden’s rookie season should be very telling.
