In the six seasons that Matt LaFleur has been head coach of the Green Bay Packers, five different players have led the team in scoring. Only one of them, however, is still on the current roster. So, who is most likely to lead the Packers in scoring in 2025? Here is a look at the top five candidates to lead the Packers in points in 2025. Rankings are based on the players’ history, their projected roles on the team this season and their health status and injury history.

Packers Most Likely to Lead the team in Scoring, Candidate Number Five: WR Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs will be fighting for playing time in a crowded receiving room. Still, he has often been a favorite target for quarterback Jordan Love in the red zone. Doubs and Love developed good chemistry since Doubs joined the team in 2022.

Last season, Doubs caught only four touchdown passes, but he caught eight the previous season which tied him for the team lead.

The key for Doubs will be getting enough playing time and targets. The absence of Christian Watson for at least the first half of the season will help, the addition of 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden may take snaps away from Doubs. He will face a challenge to lead the team in scoring, but he could be in the conversation.

Number Four: WR Jayden Reed

Wide receiver Jayden Reed has led the Packers in catches in each of his first two NFL seasons despite lining up in the slot and only playing 56 percent of the team’s offensive snaps in 2023 and 64 percent in 2024. Last season, he caught six touchdown passes and ran for another score.

The fact that LaFleur likes to utilize Reed on jet sweeps and end arounds adds to his scoring potential.

Reed could also take a jump forward in his third season. If he can cut down on his drops, he can take on an even bigger role in the offense in 2025 and increase his chances of leading the team in scoring.

Packers Most Likely to Lead the team in Scoring, Candidate Number Three: TE Tucker Kraft

Tight end Tucker Kraft led the Packers with seven touchdown catches last season. The good news is that his productivity in the red zone increased late last season as LaFleur and Love realized how they can utilize Kraft’s run after the catch skills when they get closer to the opposing end zone.

Kraft will be the team’s starting tight end again in 2025 and should have an entire campaign as one of the team’s primary red zone targets.

The former South Dakota State star may also take another step forward as he enters his third season in the NFL.

Number Two: RB Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs led the Packers in scoring last season and may have the chance to do it again. Like Kraft, the Packers utilized him more in the red zone in the second half of the season than they did early on. In fact, the Alabama alum scored at least one touchdown in each of the team’s final eight games.

For the season, Jacobs scored a career-high 15 rushing touchdowns. He also caught his first receiving touchdown of his NFL career.

Jacobs figures to be the Packers top running back again in 2025 and again should be a big red-zone weapon. If he stays healthy, Jacobs has a good chance to repeat as the Packers leading scorer in 2025.

Packers Most Likely to Lead the team in Scoring, Candidate Number One: K Brandon McManus

Kickers are always the favorites when it comes to leading the team in scoring. The chief reason that Brandon McManus didn’t snag that honor last year was that he didn’t join the team until Week 7.

McManus was extremely reliable after joining the Packers. He made all 30 of his extra points and connected on 20-of-21 field goals. His only miss came on a very windy and rainy day at Lambeau Field.

This season, he seems to have a firm hold on the kicking job which was a major question mark for the team entering training camp a year ago.

The veteran kicker scored 90 points in 11 games last season, which is a 139-point pace over a full 17-game season. If McManus produces at a similar rate as he did a year ago, he will be the prohibitive favorite to lead the team in points in 2025.
